A typical lesson

  1. Begin with the topics covered in the lesson with direct reference to the student’s specific exam board (AQA, OCR, Edexcel)
  2. Topics separated clearly with varied teaching approaches; diagrams, interactive drawing on screen, custom exam questions, games, step-by-step breakdowns with a focus on the key concepts.
  3. Frequent check-in with the student for an opportunity to ask any questions to ensure understanding is reached after each topic.
  4. Exam questions from the student’s exam board to check learning and to see the types of questions with wording/answers the exam board expects from the students
  5. Finalise with a reflection between tutor and student to think about what areas of work were very positive and which areas need further development. This is an opportunity for the student to provide any feedback to the tutor to enhance their learning, any final questions and to discuss which topics to cover next time.
